    Tian Griffith

Tian is the owner of Ridge Point K9s. She is also a UNC Asheville college student, avid dog sport competitor, and service dog handler.

Tian's lifelong passion for dogs began in childhood and naturally evolved into a deep interest in canine behavior and training. Her journey started at the age of 10 when she began teaching the family dog basic tricks. In 2017, after welcoming her own dog into her life, she studied all aspects of puppy raising and dog training. Tian has built a deep and well-rounded knowledge of the dog world through self-education, a professional apprenticeship, various dog-related jobs, and extensive hands-on experience.

Tian believes that every dog deserves respect and should be recognized as a unique individual. She acknowledges that dogs learn and behave differently. Her training approach incorporates all four quadrants of operant conditioning, but relies on positive reinforcement the most. She places strong emphasis on clear communication and fostering a deeper bond between dogs and their owners.

Tian is insured and certified in pet first aid and CPR.
